Welcome back to the Bookshare Book Club! Each month, Bookshare staff will choose a book for members to read before hosting a discussion near the end of the month. The conversation will take place through a Zoom webinar. While we have created this club with adult Bookshare members in mind, everyone is welcome to join, including non-Bookshare members.
October’s book will be A Slow Fire Burning by Paula Hawkins. Daniel Sutherland’s corpse turns up on a London houseboat, and immediately all eyes turn to the last three women to see him alive. Carla, his aunt, is already mourning another death under suspicious circumstances. Neighbor Miriam can’t keep herself from meddling in everyone’s business, including the crime scene. Laura is under the most scrutiny for being Daniel’s final one-night stand. All three women have resentments brewing under the surface, but which one boiled over?
