Announcing the Bookshare Book Club

Bookshare has long been a community of book lovers who read everything from mystery to romance to spy novels. The only thing we love more than reading books is talking about books. With that in mind, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our new book club!

Each month Bookshare staff will choose a book for members to read before hosting a discussion on the last Friday of the month. The conversation will take place on Bookshare Twitter, using the hashtag #BKSBookClub. While we have created this club with adult Bookshare members in mind, everyone is welcome to join, including non-Bookshare members.

March’s book is My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite. This bitingly humourous novel paints a portrait of the complex lives of Nigerian sisters Korede and Ayoola. Ayoola has the smallest problem: she can’t stop killing her boyfriends. Korede, ever the responsible one, has been cleaning up her messes their whole lives, and this is no different. However, when Ayoola sets her sights on Korede’s secret crush, Korede has a difficult choice to make.

Our discussion for My Sister, the Serial Killer will take place on Friday, March 29th at 12:00 pm PT on the Bookshare Twitter account. Be sure to tune in for what’s bound to be a fascinating conversation, as well as the announcement of our April book.
