Solve a Mystery with the Bookshare Book Club

Welcome back to the Bookshare Book Club! Each month, Bookshare staff will choose a book for members to read before hosting a discussion near the end of the month. The conversation will take place through a Zoom webinar. While we have created this club with adult Bookshare members in mind, everyone is welcome to join, including non-Bookshare members.

April’s book will be The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley. As students at Oxford, they welcomed the new year together. Ten years later, they reunite once again in the Scottish Highlands to celebrate. Years of resentment and tension build up as a blizzard isolates them from the rest of the world. Come New Year’s Day, one of them is dead and one of them is a killer. The only question left is: who are they?

The Zoom webinar discussion for The Hunting Party will take place on Thursday, April 30th at 5:00 pm PT. Register here.

In this time of social distancing, it’s more important than ever to stay connected, so be sure to join the stimulating conversation!

New to Bookshare? Bookshare makes reading easier. People with dyslexia, blindness, cerebral palsy, and other reading barriers can customize their experience to suit their learning style and find virtually any book they need for school, work, or the joy of reading. Find out more about Bookshare.

Hey you guys are doing a great job! How about considering a change in time coz it’s too tempting to be a part of the Zoom discussion to be missing it because of timings in my time zone 🙂 Also, can I make a recommendation for next month? How are books for the month decided upon? 🙂

      Hi Payal,

Thank you so much for your interest in the book club! At this time, the majority of participants are based in the US, so we are unfortunately limited in the timing of the meetings. The book for each is chosen by the staff (me!) based on popular new releases and literary reviews, with some input from our members during the Zoom discussion. If you’d like to suggest a book, please let me know!
