Welcome back to the Bookshare Book Club! Each month, Bookshare staff will choose a book for members to read before hosting a discussion near the end of the month. The conversation will take place through a Zoom webinar. While we have created this club with adult Bookshare members in mind, everyone is welcome to join, including non-Bookshare members.
July’s book will be The Other Black Girl by Zakiya Dalila Harris. Nella Rogers has been the only Black employee at Wagner Books since she started. It’s been lonely, so when Hazel joins Wagner, they quickly become friends. But as Hazel’s star rises, Nella starts receiving threatening notes on her desk. Soon, Nella realizes more than just her job is at stake. The Other Black Girl will keep you on edge until the last page.
