Welcome back to the Bookshare Book Club! Each month, Bookshare staff will choose a book for members to read before hosting a discussion near the end of the month. The conversation will take place through a Zoom webinar. While we have created this club with adult Bookshare members in mind, everyone is welcome to join, including non-Bookshare members.
April’s book will be A House Between Earth and the Moon by Rebecca Scherm. The world’s first luxury residential space station, Parallaxis, is home to Earth’s billionaires…and Alex’s super-algae lab. When megacorp Sensus offers Alex the chance to further develop his ideas for reversing climate change, he leaves his teenage daughter behind in Michigan to become a Parallaxis Pioneer. Unfortunately, turmoil lurks beneath the surface as Sensus hires Tess, a social psychologist, to watch Alex and his fellow scientists in a study of her own. As Tess becomes more entwined with the Pioneers’ lives, the entire experiment threatens to collapse.
