Penguin Group U.S.A. Pushes Bookshare Collection Above a Quarter Million Titles!
Penguin Group U.S.A. has signed an agreement giving Bookshare worldwide rights to their titles. Penguin has uploaded over 16,500 titles, pushing Bookshare’s collection to over a quarter million titles. Wow! Stay tuned for an official announcement of this major milestone. Robin Seaman, Director of Content Acquisition, a Benetech Global Literacy Initiative, said, “Bookshare members will be dazzled by the enormous range of content from one of the world’s most distinguished publishers. In April, we celebrated National Poetry Month by featuring poets and poetry books in our social media channels. We also invited our Twitter friends to join us in creating poetry online together. During the week of April 21st through 25th, we switched our focus from reading poetry to writing poetry and experimented with an interactive Twitter event: our first-ever Bookshare Community Poetry Jam!
